The SmartWater Strategy™ uses two main product categories as the platform for a range of crime reduction initiatives:
Forensic Property Coding
Technologically sophisticated but simple in application. Forensic Coding, similar to, but more robust and accurate than DNA, is used to forensically ‘code’ or mark property and valuables. SmartWater is a generic property marker which can be used to mark anything from lead roofs to a wedding ring. Warning signage and labels are used to ‘advertise’ this fact to would-be criminals. The coding is invisible to the naked eye, but flouresses brightly under UV light and provides the Police with the necessary evidence to make Arrests and Convict the thief as well as returning property to its rightful owner.
The Smartwater Index Spray System - used to spray offenders with a safe invisible forensic liquid which invisibly codes the skin and clothing of the criminal. The product will not wash off and remains on skin for weeks / months and on clothing indefinitely. This irrefutably links the criminal with the scene of the crime, leading to inevitablearrest, prosecution and conviction.
Uniqueness
All SmartWater forensic products are unique and no two samples are the same, at this time up to 30 Billion unique samples are available and this can be increased if necessary making SmartWater far more unique than DNA based products, more importantly it is more robust and will withstand significant attack such as burning and naturally occurring factors such as Sunlight, UV Light etc, all factors that destroy DNA.
