Police are looking for this man.
POLICE believe the same man is responsible for a series of armed hold-ups at chemists in Nedlands and East Fremantle during the past six weeks.
Greg’s Discount Chemist on Canning Highway has been hit on three separate occasions – twice in the past month.
On April 25, police say a man armed with a garden saw threatened staff with it before taking opiate-derived drugs.
He subsequently robbed the same shop with a 25cm knife on June 20 and on Sunday, July 17.
Police say the same man was also responsible for a robbery at the APHS Pharmacy at Hollywood Hospital about 1.05pm on June 23 and at the Broadway Fair Pharmacy in Nedlands on the same day.
Acting Detective Senior Sergeant Paul Brunini said police were keen to arrest the man.
“At the first robbery in East Fremantle he used a garden saw, a weapon of convenience, but in the last four robberies he had a knife,” Snr Sgt Brunini said.
“He may be living in that area, but we don’t know. He may be residing closely and know the layout of that chemist (East Fremantle).”
The suspect is fair skinned, about 180-185cm tall and has a slim to medium build.
He wore a black-hooded jacket and dark sunglasses during all the robberies.
