Part of the SmartWater Strategy™ is to educate the impending thief of the increased risks should they attempt to steal any SmartWater protected property and is so effective that when an impending thief sees the SmartWater logo’s and signage they simply cannot accept the significant increased risks of Arrest and Conviction and choose an easier target.

SmartWater is an ethical organisation who recognises that if the Police are not searching for evidence of SmartWater then there is no deterrent. As a result of this SmartWater has worked alongside the Police for the last 4 years resulting in in-depth research and investigation by the Office of Crime Prevention and the Western Australian Police into SmartWater and the SmartWater Strategy™, our ethics, morals and professionalism have been evidenced very strongly and we are now the only organisation in Australia to have secured a pilot (Bunbury division) into this form of technology, upon conclusion we are confident that it will be employed across WA, further other Australian State Police have also recognised and researched SmartWater and are watching the Pilots with interest.
SmartWater now train and equip the Police and supply covert equipment to target crime hotspots to further reinforce the fear of Arrest and Conviction in the criminal’s mindset effectively sending ripples of fear throughout the criminal network. Our customers are important to us and each has unique needs and wants, as such we design systems to exceed these expectations, in general however there are two areas that we offer to protect:-
1) Property marking:
SmartWater Forensic Property Coding; unlike any other property marking product SmartWater works by assigning items of value, such as jewellery, computers, televisions, cars, boats, motorcycles, equestrian, stone, (in fact anything that you need to protect) with its own unique forensic code which is uniquely registered to the owner. The solution is simply painted into the nooks and crannies of objects, and once applied it is virtually impossible to remove and is only visible under ultraviolet light.
The WA Police are equipped to detect SmartWater and identify the true owner of a ‘SmartWatered’ object which can be established from a sample the size of a pinhead. This means that police can irrefutably prove when an item is stolen, and link the criminal back to the crime scene. Because of the forensic nature of the product and the level of support SmartWater offers the Police and other government agencies, criminals quickly learn that SmartWater can be used to catch and convict them. 2. The ability to transfer the crime scene ONTO the criminal:
SmartWater Index Spray Systems; are used to target and arrest persistent offenders. The spray system is frequently used within intelligence led Policing, but can also be permanently installed within Financial institutions, Homes, Businesses, Schools, Vehicles, Boats, Caravans and other controlled areas to protect, for example, Cash offices, IT areas and points of entry etc.
The product is used to spray offenders with a safe, invisible forensic liquid which invisibly tags the skin and clothing of the criminal. The product contains a unique Forensic Code which will not wash off; remaining on skin for weeks / months and on clothing indefinitely, the coding provides an irrefutable link with the crime scene.
